Hush by Kate White. I liked this book, and I thought it was a good mystery. There was an unnecessary sex scene - blech!

Tallgrass

5 cookies
Tallgrass by Sandra Dallas. I need to look up more books by Sandra Dallas, both of the books I have read of hers I loved. (The Persian Pickle Club was the other.) This book is about a town located by a Japanese relocation camp, and the affects it has on a young girl and her family. This the second book about the Relocation Camps in the last few weeks, and I find myself fascinated. Great book!

A Reliable Wife

3 cookies
A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick. I really liked the idea of this book, the mystery of it, and I liked the way he writes, but there was a lot of graphic scenes, and it ended up being disturbing instead of intriguing.

Fade

4 cookies
Fade by Lisa McMann - the sequel to Wake. I liked this better than the first book. There is one more in the series, I am interested to see how she ends this story.

Shelter Me

5 cookies
Shelter Me by Juliette Fay. Loved this book! It is about a new widow, and how she goes about picking up the pieces of her life and moves forward. It sounds really depressing, but it was very endearing and I just loved it.

Hens Dancing

4 cookies
Hens Dancing by Raffaella Barker. It was hard for me to get into this book, written from a journal perspective of a newly divorced woman who is raising her three kids in the English countryside. But I ended up really liking it. It made me laugh.

I Capture the Castle

I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith, who is the author of 101 Dalmations, which was one of my favorite books growing up. Cute, sweet little book.

The Battle of the Labyrinth

The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan. #4 - great books!

The Invisible Wall

4 cookies
The Invisible Wall by Harry Bernstein. I really liked this, a memoir about growing up in northern England, Christians on one side of the street, Jews on the other, the Invisible Wall separating the two sides. The young boy's older sister fell in love with a Christian boy across the street. Plus I love anything English!

Worst Case

Worst Case by James Patterson. I have always really liked James Patterson books, and I am really liking these ones about the character Michael Bennett. How can you not love a character that has 10 children?

Never Tell a Lie

4 cookies
Never Tell a Lie by Hallie Ephron. A suspense novel - this was really good. I could see where it was going, but it certainly kept my interest. I stayed up an hour longer than I should have finishing it.

The Titan's Curse

The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan - #3

The Sea of Monsters

The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan. I had no library books to read - so I have been re-reading the Lightning Thief series - great books!

Fablehaven 5

5 cookies
Fablehaven: Keys to the Demon Prison by Brandon Mull. These are really great books, and I was super excited when our friend Kylie lent me her copy of this newest one, since they don't have it at the library yet! If you haven't read the Fablehaven books, do it. This was the last one in the series.
