Eragon by Christopher Paolini.  I have read Eragon several times before, I really like the series.  I am rereading it now because the last book has come out, and I want the whole story fresh in my mind!  Eragon is about a boy who finds a dragon egg, and it hatches for him.  He then becomes a Dragon Rider, and has to decide how he will use his new-found powers.

The Unwanteds

The Unwanteds by Lisa McMann.  This is a Young Adult fantasy book, but I quite liked it.  It is about a community that when the children are in their 13th year, the leaders decide if a child is a Wanted, a Necessary, or an Unwanted.  The Unwanted are then killed.  Except, someone saves them (unbeknownst to the leaders) and keeps them safe and teaches them magic.  Eventually, the two worlds collide.

Lethal by Sandra Brown.  Typical Sandra Brown - strong girl falls for the "bad" guy - then they catch the real bad guys.

Divergent by Veronica Roth.  I can't even explain this.  But I liked it!

A Drink Before the War

A Drink Before the War by Dennis Lehane.  I LOVE Dennis Lehane, but as I have said before he is very intense and graphic.  This was his debut novel, the first book with Kenzie and Gennaro.  Really, really great books.
