Dune Road

3 cookies
Dune Road by Jane Green. Not as good as the other Jane Green book I just read. Another "relationship" book - only not as compelling.

The Beach House

4 cookies
The Beach House by Jane Green. I loved the people in this book. It had some twists and turns that were good. A "relationship" book - all about how people get along and relate to each other.

Nightwalker

3 cookies
Nightwalker by Heather Graham. OK book about people who see dead people and try to help them. I thought it would be better than it was. I would get frustrated about how dumb the woman character would act - duh, someone is trying to kill you - don't wander off by yourself!

Intent to Kill

4 cookies
Intent to Kill by James Grippando. Pretty good murder mystery. I liked the characters a lot.

Moloka'i

4 cookies
Moloka'i by Alan Brennert. A fascinating look into life in 1890's Hawaii, and the leper colony there. This is fictional, but based on real events and people. I never knew anything about the leper colony, and what life was like for those people. Very interesting!

I am Not a Serial Killer

4 cookies
I am Not a Serial Killer by Dan Wells. Interesting book, a young man knows he is a sociopath, and what he does to rein in those tendencies, until a actual serial killer appears in his town.

Letter to My Daughter

4 cookies
Letter to My Daughter by George Bishop. Pretty good, just one long letter from a mother to her daughter, when she goes missing overnight.

The Last Olympian

4 cookies
The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan, last book in the "Lightning Thief"Series - Love them!

Gone

4 cookies
Gone by Lisa McMann - the third in the series, after Wake and Fade. Pretty good books.

To Green Angel Tower

4 cookies
To Green Angel Tower by Tad Williams. This has to be one of the longest (If not THE longest) books I have ever read. It is stinking huge! It took forever to get through it, but I really liked it. It is the last in the Memory, Sorrow and Thorn series. Really good fantasy series!

Hush by Kate White. I liked this book, and I thought it was a good mystery. There was an unnecessary sex scene - blech!

Tallgrass

5 cookies
Tallgrass by Sandra Dallas. I need to look up more books by Sandra Dallas, both of the books I have read of hers I loved. (The Persian Pickle Club was the other.) This book is about a town located by a Japanese relocation camp, and the affects it has on a young girl and her family. This the second book about the Relocation Camps in the last few weeks, and I find myself fascinated. Great book!

A Reliable Wife

3 cookies
A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick. I really liked the idea of this book, the mystery of it, and I liked the way he writes, but there was a lot of graphic scenes, and it ended up being disturbing instead of intriguing.

Fade

4 cookies
Fade by Lisa McMann - the sequel to Wake. I liked this better than the first book. There is one more in the series, I am interested to see how she ends this story.

Shelter Me

5 cookies
Shelter Me by Juliette Fay. Loved this book! It is about a new widow, and how she goes about picking up the pieces of her life and moves forward. It sounds really depressing, but it was very endearing and I just loved it.

Hens Dancing

4 cookies
Hens Dancing by Raffaella Barker. It was hard for me to get into this book, written from a journal perspective of a newly divorced woman who is raising her three kids in the English countryside. But I ended up really liking it. It made me laugh.

I Capture the Castle

4 cookies
I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith, who is the author of 101 Dalmations, which was one of my favorite books growing up. Cute, sweet little book.
