This World We Live In by Susan Beth Pfeffer. Third book in the series. I didn't like this one nearly as much, it was like she was asked to write it without a clear picture of what is was supposed to be, and the result is half-hearted at best. It actually brings together the characters from the first and second books (that were completely separate, the 2 books had nothing in common but the actual events in the world around them), but I wasn't impressed with much of it at all.

The Dead and the Gone

The Dead and the Gone by Susan Beth Pfeffer. This is a companion book to Life as We Knew It, about a catastrophic event that changes all life on earth. In the first book, the people lived in a small city, and this one takes place in New York. Quite a scary concept.

Changing Habits

Changing Habits by Debbie Macomber. The story of 3 women who chose to become nuns, and what their lives are like, and what leads them to leave the "sisterhood". I learned a lot about what it means to be a nun, and the kind of lives they lead.

Murder in Foggy Bottom

Murder in Foggy Bottom by Margaret Truman. This is the daughter of President Truman, and has an interesting look into Washington. There are apparently a series of books set in Washington, although I don't think that they have the same characters. This book was written in 2000, and is about missiles used to bring down airplanes. It was a very interesting look at what people thought about terrorism pre-9-11. Although the situation was different than what we actually experienced, the reactions and feelings were so similar.

Susannah's Garden

Susannah's Garden by Debbie Macomber. I like Debbie Macomber, although I feel the same about her books as I do about Jane Greens. They all have the same flavor, which is OK. These are much tamer, and cleaner than Jane Green books though, which I really like. This particular book deals with aging parents and regrets about the past. This one has a great twist at the end.

Bookends

Bookends by Jane Green. Sometimes I really like Jane Green's book, other times I feel like they are all the same book. This one was pretty good, I did really like the characters. A nice, varied group of people and how they all relate to each other. That pretty much sums up Jane Green novels, as a matter of fact.
