Murder in Foggy Bottom by Margaret Truman. This is the daughter of President Truman, and has an interesting look into Washington. There are apparently a series of books set in Washington, although I don't think that they have the same characters. This book was written in 2000, and is about missiles used to bring down airplanes. It was a very interesting look at what people thought about terrorism pre-9-11. Although the situation was different than what we actually experienced, the reactions and feelings were so similar.
